Trump replies to Kim that his nuclear button is "bigger and more powerful

Trump's statement comes as a reaction to the New Year's message in which the North Korean leader boasts the ability to push the nuclear button at all times. Kim said that Korean atomic capacity is a deterrent source for the United States, which will not dare to start a war now: "There's always a nuclear button on my desk," he snapped. "This is a reality, not a threat," the North Korean leader also said.


These statements, however, did not seem scared to a Trump who, moreover, boasted today that, unlike Pyongyang's nuclear armament, the United States "works!".

This cross-declaration occurs on the same day that the United States has announced the possibility of pushing new sanctions on North Korea, even though South Korea has proposed to Pyongyang the holding of a high-level meeting, which would take place next 9 of January. This meeting, which is still to be accepted by Kim Jong-UN, would be the first of its kind in more than two years between neighboring countries and would arrive at a time of special tension on the Korean peninsula because of the intense weapons development of Pyongyang.

The continuing nuclear tests carried out by the Pyongyang regime in recent months have led the United Nations to adopt a series of economic sanctions. However, from Washington the answer is more ambiguous, since although the State Department does not hesitate to bet on diplomacy to find a way out of the conflict, from the White House President Trump does not rule out the military route
